Rancho Mirage is also known as "The Playground of Presidents". For good reason. There are x number of golf courses and x number of country clubs.Some areas have seasons called spring, summer, fall, and winter. In the desert we simply have THE SEASON. We know its beginning to get underway when the summer grass is allowed to die out and preparations are made to plant the winter rye grass. This happens from one end of the desert to the other, so we do have a period during October when the grass transition occurs. The baby grass begins to grow and it is carefully manicured to perfection for the up coming golf season. We observe the rebirth of golf courses all over the desert. When the golf courses are ready it is the beginning of THE SEASON.
